A section dedicated to our travels and adventures beyond our national borders.

In May 2024, after having completed the Hadrian’s Wall Pathway hike across Northern England, we jetted over to Dublin to make our way up to Bushmills, Norther Ireland, There we began our hike from Bushmills and the Giant’s Causeway to follow the Antrim Coast Path to Fair Head, outside of Ballycastle, Northern Ireland.

In May of 2024 we traveled to Glasgow, Scotland then took the rail to Carlisle, England to hike the Hadrian’s Wall Pathway. Built on the orders of Roman Emperor Hadrian beginning in 120 AD the wall stretched from coast-to-coast across Northern England.

We Began our hike at the western terminus in Bowness-on-Solway and hiked eastward across England ending at Wallsend, just east of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.

In August 2023 we traveled to Scotland to hike The Great Glen Way, from Fort William on the Irish Sea

to Inverness on the North Sea. There is no greater intimate experience than to walk across an entire country

and to enjoy this lovely country and it’s people.

First there was a few days in Glasgow and Edinburgh before we set off on the hike.

In March 2023 we journeyed to Iceland to go chase Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis).

This would be our third visit to this beautiful country and we knew there might be some weather challenges along the way, and indeed there were!

In September 2022 we joined a tour of Ireland, starting in Dublin and traveling clockwise around the country.

After 2 days in Dingle I was taken down with Covid-19, although fully vaccinated. We were no longer allowed to participate in the tour so we made our way to Tralee and on to Dublin to fly home.

Part of my heritage is Irish and while there I truly felt that I was home.

A May 2016 tour of Scandinavia was quite the adventure for us.

Starting in Stockholm, then heading Kalmar and Copenhagen.

Onward to explore Denmark before catching an overnight ferry to Oslo.

We made our way across Norway to Bergen for the final days of this excellent tour.

Back in 2002-2003 I found myself going to Seoul Korea five times for a total of six weeks boots on the ground. Working for a start-up medical imaging technology company based in Seattle our first install was at the Seoul National University Medical Center. The images in this gallery were taken during my personal time, mostly weekends.

My experience was like stepping into the Sofia Coppola movie “Lost in Translation”.
